Configuratie Thunderbird 3

Stappenplan voor het instellen van Thunderbird 3

1. Download Thunderbird 3 en installeer het programma (afbeelding 1);

2. Kies voor ‘Nieuwe account aanmaken’ (File > New > Mail Account);
3. Voer je naam, e-mail adres en wachtwoord in, klik ‘Continue’ (afbeelding 2);

4. Thunderbird 3 maakt automatisch contact met de server;
5. Klik op ‘Edit’ en
   (1)  kies voor POP i.p.v. IMAP,
   (2) voer bij username je volledige e-mail adres in,
   (3) klik op ‘Re-test Configuration’;

6. Zie afbeelding 4 voor het resultaat;

7. Klik op ‘Create Account’;
8. In het volgende scherm, klik op ‘Confirm Security Exception’;
9. Je account is aangemaakt en actief;
10. Onder ‘Account Settings’ (‘Tools’ > Account Settings) kun je de verdere instellingen voor je nieuwe e-mail account aanpassen.
